Copper U-shaped elbow

A copper U-bend is a 180-degree turn in a pipe. Made of copper (such as TP2 or UNS C10200), its core function is to achieve bidirectional piping within a confined space while maintaining a consistent pipe diameter. It is commonly used in refrigeration systems and tight piping layouts.

1. Structure: Symmetrical U-shaped bend with the same pipe diameter at both ends (equal diameter). The bend is smooth and free of wrinkles and cracks, ensuring smooth flow.

2. Material: High-purity copper (copper content ≥99.9%), corrosion-resistant and with excellent thermal conductivity, suitable for refrigerants, water, gas, and other media.

3. Function: Solve the problem of directional change when piping space is limited, reduce the number of interfaces, and mitigate the risk of leakage.

4. Applications:

Refrigeration systems: Evaporator/condenser connections in refrigerant circuits;

Plumbing: Compact layout of building water supply and drainage, and heating pipes.

5. Processing: Mostly cold extruded, degreased, cleaned, and airtight tested (typically 6.0 MPa) to ensure sealing and hygienic standards.

This type of fitting is classified as a diverter fitting in engineering. Its compact design is particularly suitable for applications requiring frequent diverting or densely packed equipment (such as air conditioning units and medical gas pipelines).
